He is the President of Ocean Elite Marine Products Corp. and Eye Catcher® Lures in Edenton, NC. Jed has a passion for helping under-privileged communities, especially in Africa.
Jed is currently pursuing an executive MBA program at the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
Joseph Gyamfi, PE

Joseph Gyamfi, Director of Accounts & Operations, Dep. Vice Pres.
Joe is a Professional Engineer currently working with the North Carolina Division of Water Quality since graduation from Duke University with a master’s degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering. He also has a diploma in Project Management from NC State University and currently enrolled in the MBA Program at the Kenan-Flagler Business School – the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Joe was born and raised in a little town in Ghana, about 10 miles from Lake Bosumtwi – arguably one of the most beautiful natural Lakes in the world. He has lived through and experienced many of the issues GBAF has proposed to tackle for underprivileged communities in Africa. He has long cherished such an opportunity to team up with other professionals for a cause that gives hope to, and uplifts the spirits of many people, particularly children in underprivileged communities back in his native country and others in similar situations across the African Continent

Dr. Susan Barnes, Director for Public Engagement and Partnership
Dr. Susan Barnes
Susan is a senior scientist with GlaxoSmithKline in RTP, NC. Susan was born in the North East of England and moved to the USA 8 years ago. She has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Bradford. Susan enjoys travel and photography and has journeyed extensively to developing countries and has had an eye-witness account of most of the problems GBAF wants to tackle. She has a passion for helping under-privileged communities and is interested in using her interpersonal skills and knowledge of project management to help achieve the mission of Give Back Africa Foundation
Kirby Amponsah Manager, Ph.D

Kirby Amponsah-Manager, Ph.D, President & Director of Administration
Kwabena has a Masters degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ghana and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Florida
He spent his early years in a rural area in the Techiman District of Ghana. He therefore has a good taste and an eye-witness account of all the challenges GBAF intends to tackle.
Kwabena has a strong passion for childhood education and special concern for the issue of malaria and HIV that are robbing millions in Sub-Saharan African of hope, and he believes his educational background as a scientist and cultural roots place him at an advantage point to be able to speak about these issues in a way the makes sense to the communities. Chris Richter
Chris is a marketing and communications consultant at Railinc, Cary, N.C.-based IT Company that serves the freight rail industry. He has worked in communications positions in higher education and as an editor at newspapers and magazines. He’s a graduate of the University of South Carolina and UNC-Chapel Hill, and currently studying at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Chris has had a longtime interest in international affairs. He traveled to the Cordoba region of Argentina in 2008 as part of Rotary International’s Group Study Exchange program
